Bible Study: James
Join us for a five-week study through the Book of James, led by Lori Phillips. Together, we'll explore James' practical teaching on faith, perseverance, wisdom, and what it means to live out our faith in everyday life.
Bring your Bible and come ready to dig into God's Word, ask questions, and grow together!
Parking: Please park only in the designated Visitors spots at 208 Main Street or across the street at Walgreens.
Senior Luncheon
Once a quarter, we host a luncheon for the senior members of Living Rock! Join us for our next Slightly Seasoned Luncheon—a great afternoon of food and fellowship. Bring a side dish to pass (please list what you’re bringing in the sign-up comments). This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with new friends and catch up with familiar faces.
Our gatherings are filled with warmth, laughter, and good conversation. We believe that a shared meal is one of the most meaningful ways to build community and strengthen relationships—and we can’t wait to welcome you to the table!
We’re also looking for volunteers to help with prepping, setting up before the meal, and cleaning up afterwards. If you’re available to lend a hand, we’d love your support! Please contact Kim Harris.

Fall Fest
Mark your calendars and plan to join us for a fun-filled Fall Festival at Living Rock Church!
We're planning an afternoon/evening of food, fellowship, and plenty of fall fun, including a cornhole tournament, bonfire, tractor rides. More details coming soon!
Pray & Purl
Whether you're an experienced knitter or crocheter—or have never picked up a pair of needles—you are warmly invited to join us for Pray & Purl!
This is more than a crafting group; it's a time of fellowship, prayer, and serving together. We'll spend the afternoon praying, encouraging one another, and laying out afghan squares that have been lovingly made to create beautiful blankets. You don't need to know how to knit or crochet to participate! There are plenty of ways to help, and we'd love to have more people join us.
Bring a bag lunch and enjoy a relaxed afternoon connecting with others as we create something meaningful together.

Join us on the first Sunday of each month for Family Day Lunch at the church!
After service, we'll gather around the table for a shared meal hosted by Jeff and Kelly Doran. It's a simple opportunity to slow down, enjoy some good food, and spend time getting to know one another better as a church family.
Whether you're new to Living Rock or have been here for years, we'd love for you to join us. Come hungry, bring your appetite, and enjoy a time of fellowship as we grow closer together!
RSVP is required so we can make sure we have enough food for everyone. We hope you'll join us!

For the Ladies
Ladies, you're invited to a special evening created just for you! Join us under the pavilion for a relaxing dinner and sweet fellowship as the men of Living Rock Church prepare, cook, and serve a delicious meal in appreciation of the women of our church. Come enjoy an evening of great food, meaningful conversation, and the opportunity to simply slow down, be refreshed, and enjoy being served.

End of Summer Picnic
Join us as we wrap up the summer with an afternoon of food, fellowship, and fun at our End of Summer Church Picnic!
This is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect after a busy summer, spend time with your church family, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon together. Bring your family, invite a friend, and come ready to make lasting memories.
Please RSVP with the number of people in your family and sign up to bring a dish to share. If everyone brings something, there will be plenty for all to enjoy! If possible, please bring your side dish in a disposable pan. The church will provide all serving utensils.

Back to School Bag Blessing
As a new school year begins, we'd love to take time as a church family to pray for everyone who will be learning, teaching, serving, and leading in our schools. Whether you're a student, teacher, administrator, homeschool parent, support staff member, or anyone working in education, we invite you to participate in our Back-to-School Prayer & Blessing during the service on Sunday, August 23.
Bring your backpack, lunch box, briefcase, teacher bag, or any item you'll be taking with you throughout the school year. You may bring it with you that morning or drop it off the week before to receive a special tag. During the service, we'll pray over these items and everyone preparing to begin a new school year, asking for God's wisdom, protection, strength, and blessing.
As many of our local schools begin classes on August 27, we hope you'll join us as we send our students and educators into the new year covered in prayer.
Men's Breakfast
Join us on Saturday, August 22 at 9am for a men's breakfast!
It's the perfect opportunity to connect with other men in our church community and start your Saturday off on the right foot.
Best of all, it's completely free! So grab your buddies and join us for a morning of food, fellowship, and inspiration. See you there - sign up online (link below) or in the foyer.

Faith & Family Night
Bring the whole family together for Faith & Family Day at Dunkin' Park, a night centered on connection, community, and togetherness. Enjoy baseball, shared moments, and a welcoming atmosphere for fans of all ages. Game presented by the YMCA of Greater Hartford. The Yard Goats host the Yankees affiliate, with gates opening at 6:00pm with a game start time of 7:10pm.
The church bought a group package of 25 tickets, they are first come, first serve and $15 each (price is the same for child or adult). Please submit cash or check payments of $15/ticket to Aimee in the office.
Water Baptism Sunday
Water baptism is a way for believers to outwardly express what God has done in their hearts and lives in the presence of other believers. When you are baptized in water, you are identifying yourself with Jesus. Family, friends, and our congregation are encouraged to attend service and celebrate this significant decision.
Mens' Ministry Cookout
Men, you're invited to join us for an evening of great food, fellowship, and encouragement at our Men's Cookout under the pavilion!
Come enjoy a relaxed night together as we connect, share a meal, and build stronger friendships with one another. Whether you've been attending Living Rock for years or are new to our church family, we'd love to have you join us.
Annual Business Meeting
Join us for our Annual Church Business Meeting on Sunday, July 27, right after our morning service. This is a wonderful opportunity for all members to come together, review the past year, and discuss the exciting future plans for our church community. Your presence and input are invaluable as we reflect on our journey and look ahead to what's next.
We encourage all members to attend both the meeting as we strengthen our bonds and fellowship together.

Memorial Garden Work Day
Join us as we care for and maintain our Memorial Prayer Garden, a sacred space for prayer, reflection, and remembrance on our wooded church property.
This work day will help preserve the beauty and peace of the garden for all who come to pray, remember loved ones, and spend quiet time in God’s presence. We'll provide coffee, your helping hands are so appreciated!

Kickoff to Summer Picnic
Our first picnic of the summer is coming up soon! Join us on Sunday, June 14th, immediately following service! The church provides hamburgers, hotdogs, paper goods and beverages. Let's kick off summer the right way - TOGETHER!

Dinner Fundraiser
Join us for a delicious evening at our Mama’s Italian Night Dinner as we come together to support the Kidz Rock New Playscape! Bring your family, invite a friend, and come hungry—all for a great cause! Enjoy a homemade Italian-style meal in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere while helping us invest in a fun and engaging space for our kids.

National Day of Prayer
Join us at Living Rock Church for a special evening of prayer under the pavilion as we gather for the National Day of Prayer.
This year’s theme, “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations,” is inspired by King David’s prayer of thanksgiving in 1 Chronicles 16, celebrating the return of the Ark of the Covenant and the presence of God among His people.
Together, we will spend time seeking the Lord in Scripture and prayer, lifting up our church, community, nation, and world. This will be a meaningful opportunity to come together across generations, united in faith and expectation as we glorify God.

Before The Rocks Cry Out: Night of Worship

Our service will include a time of worship and a message from the Word, centered on hope and truth for everyday life. Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been before, you’ll find a friendly atmosphere where you can feel at home. Immediately following the service, we’ll have a reception with refreshments, giving everyone a chance to connect and spend time together. As a thank you for coming, each guest will receive a free gift—just a small way we want to bless you for being with us!

Easter Sunday
He is risen! On Easter Sunday, we gather to celebrate Jesus’ victory over sin and death. The resurrection is the foundation of our faith and the reason we have unshakable hope. Because He lives, we have the promise of new life—now and forever.
This joy-filled service will include vibrant worship, a powerful message, and a bold celebration of the truth that through His resurrection, we share in His victory. Come experience the hope and joy of Easter with us as we declare together, “He is risen indeed!”
Service is on Sunday, April 5th at 10am, attend service in-person and via livestream!
Easter Egg Hunt
Free for ages 2 years to 6th grade!
Hop on over for an exciting Easter egg hunt! Bring your friends and family and come ready to search for eggs filled with treats and surprises. We'll have games, crafts, and lots of fun activities for everyone to enjoy.
This is a great opportunity for your kids to connect with other children and learn about the true meaning of Easter!
Yarn Drive
We are collecting donations of yarn for our Pray & Purl group. Medium weight 100% acrylic yard. Red Heart brand or similar. Any colors; if you choose a variegated color, please also provide a matching solid color.
Pray & Purl knits and crochets items that are donated to the homeless, local shelters and health care facilities.
