Global Prayer Chain for Ukraine

  • Living Rock Church 138 Connecticut 81 Killingworth, CT, 06419 United States (map)

This Sunday, August 24, marks the 34th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence. On this significant day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations are calling the world to join in a Day of Prayer for Ukraine—a call for spiritual unity, a cry for heavenly intercession, and a light of hope amid the darkness.

Prayer Gatherings

  • In-Person: Under the pavilion, beginning 10–15 minutes after service ends

  • Online: Zoom prayer at 6:30 PM (1 hour)

Together, we will lift our voices before God for:

  • An end to war and suffering

  • The protection of innocents and the preservation of human life

  • The establishment of a just peace

  • The restoration of truth, freedom, and dignity

"The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my savior, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies."
—Psalm 18:2–3

Join us as we link arms with believers across the globe, uniting in prayer and hope for Ukraine.

"By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another." John 13:35 NIV

Through triumph and tragedy, indestructible and enduring relationships were formed on different continents but under the same God; Living Rock Church and  Rock Church of Soshnikov.

For decades Living Rock Church has had a close personal bond with a church we helped plant in Ukraine, Rock Church of Soshnikov. Our youth group performed gospel centered artistic productions in that nation. Men from LRC helped construct a larger, safer sanctuary in Soshnikov. Multiple mission groups assisted in the establishment of satellite churches, shared children's church curriculum, and encouraged the church community.  A marriage was formed between an LRC son and the daughter of the lead Ukrainian pastor, Nikolai. Leaders from the church in Ukraine have visited us here many times. People from two continents have jointly preached the gospel and broke bread together for over 30 years.

Thank you you for your prayers!!!!
