The Church
The Living Rock Church serves the shoreline and central Connecticut. From its establishment in March of 1984, the church has been led by its founding pastor, the Reverend Ryan Young. Our church can best be described as “people reaching out to people.” Each person is an important part of the Living Rock Church family.
The Living Rock Church began in the Madison area with twelve families. In January of 1988 we purchased 15.6 acres of land on Route 81 in Killingworth. On October 28, 1990, a new sanctuary was dedicated to the Glory of God.
The Living Rock Church has always used the Bible as its only source of doctrine and inspiration. New members are encouraged to attend a membership class to ensure a solid biblical foundation and to understand the history, direction, and vision of the church.
The Living Rock Church is a sending church. We have established churches in Worcester, Massachusetts; Fairlee, Vermont; Stonington, Connecticut; and various cities in Ukraine.
The church believes in people reaching people. The ministry is committed to making disciples of Christ that reflect Christ’s passion for lost people and witness His caring love to the community.
Our People
Pastor Ryan Young
Pastor Ryan Young has been serving as Senior Pastor at the Living Rock Church in Connecticut for over 28 years. His wife of over 30 years, Dale, has served by his side throughout this time. In addition to being a loving and caring Shepherd, Pastor Ryan has a mantle from God to equip and train godly leadership within the body of Christ. For those who have sat under his ministry, Pastor Ryan is known as a teaching pastor who has a burden for prayer. He’s actively involved in church planting throughout New England and Ukraine. Pastor Ryan believes in the strong support structure of the local church for ultimate fulfillment and restoration of each and every believer.
