Men's Vision Statement

Having worked in a men's prison for many years, I can see how important the need for relationship really is. There are healthy relationships and relationships that destroy. As men we need to support and uphold one another and develop relationships that go deep; deeper than sports, cars, activities, etc. that are just "surface stuff". Deep down inside, we all have the same desire for acceptance, friendship and comradery with fellow man. Unfortunately, we don't always take the time to realize that we're not all that different from one another and have these same desires. Men need a purpose and a passion to reunite again. At this time I would like to encourage each man to re-evaluate who he is in Christ and what gifts he possesses that can be passed on to another brother. I am so thankful for the special men in my life who have come along side me. They helped me to overcome broken areas in my life bringing me to the place where I can now share my love and life with others the way Christ has called me to do. We all have something to offer and with the help of one another we can make an impact on our families, work places, church, etc. As men we are not afraid of fighting for what is right and I believe we must be obedient to battle the good fight of faith together, not alone. My prayer is that we would become united and rise up as men of honor to be used for God's glory. We can become a brotherhood that "shares the care".
